I was encouraged to start running by my good friend, Dave Harrah, in May 2007 and I haven’t looked back since. I have completed distances from 1 mile to an ultra-marathon, but prefer the shorter distances. I’m a middle of the pack runner and enjoy encouraging people around me at the races to keep pushing forward. I have helped with coaching the New Energy kids since 2010 and enjoy seeing their smiling faces from the start to finish of our hour together. I’m still learning what “training” is all about and have started a “run streak” for this year and hope to continue even after I reach 365 days. The Galloway method has gotten me thru my almost 10 years of running, but my goal for this year is to run a 5K without walking. I don’t know where this journey will take me, but the road is wide open.
