Chris was born in Buffalo, NY but grew up in Central Florida. In 1994 he joined the Navy to see the world and to get an education. 20 years later, he is still in the Navy, graduated from Roger Williams University in 2008, and is currently stationed in Portsmouth, VA. He started running in 2006 when he found out that he had been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondilitis, a form of arthritis that primarily affects the spine. Since then, Chris has made it his mission to spread awareness through running and competing in various race distances from the 5k to 100k. When Chris isn't running, he's volunteering at Road Rage Events race directing or as the assistant coach for the Nansemond River XC team. He currently resides in Suffolk with his two daughters Kayla and Madison.
