Suzanne is a former NYer who moved with her husband to Virginia Beach to teach and enjoy the beach. She discovered the benefits and joys of running shortly after the birth of her first child when a good friend challenged her to run in the inaugural 2001 Rock-n-Roll Half-Marathon. She's been running ever since. Suzanne has become increasingly interested in the many benefits and ways to incorporate strength training into running programs. She is looking forward to sharing her research with runners, joggers and walkers alike.
Suzanne currently lives near the oceanfront with her husband Chris, youngest son Ian, and Ava-the -always-hungry-cat. Her oldest son, Jayce, is pursuing a Communication Arts degree at VCU. Now that she and her husband have retired from the field of education, they are exploring the many trails in the beautiful state of Virginia. Perhaps an ultra-run is in their future? Stay tuned!
